#TBT – Journal Quilt Week 45

The last week of March 2012 brought the second of our two baby showers. This one was held in the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts for our friends and neighbors there.  The party had a Red Sox theme, which drove the color choice for the umbrella.

Arabesque #3 is complete!

As I quilted Arabesque #3, I found myself thinking that I should call it “Divine Intervention” instead. The piecing certainly required a few prayers, but I have to admit that I had no faith at all when it came time to quilt. This one hung on my design wall for months because I couldn’t bring […]

2016 Projects – #APQResolution February

I have a flurry of new projects this year, including American Patchwork & Quilting’s UFO Challenge. March’s project is already done, but I am stuck on February.  My UFO is a practice piece I did years ago to try corded white work. I was reading Kathryn Berenson’s book “Quilts of Provence” and wanted to try […]

Photo Friday – Board Game

This week’s challenge was to shoot a picture of a board game. Amazingly, it was also the week my DH decided to teach our 3 year old how to play checkers.  I have some cute pictures of the two of them over a game board, but my DH and I have a “no kid pictures […]
