Monday mornings are not my most productive time. When I am working in Corporate America, I don’t really care about that. People rarely schedule meetings first thing on a Monday so I can usually ease into the week by reading through my email and planning my to do list. Now that I am working in my studio on Monday mornings, I still find that I am slow to start the week. It’s already 11 AM and I have little to show for my morning so far, despite my two cups of tea. I suspect that the answer is to just pick something up and start sewing, but I may also have to think of the quilting equivalent of checking my email. Maybe I stack up some ironing? Cut up scraps? Do you have Monday morning warm-ups that get you ready for a week of quilting?
