This week in 2012, I was inspired by the mundane. It was Martin Luther King Jr. weekend and we had dinner with good friends at our house, but the most interesting thing that happened during the weekend seems to have been that our generator came on. The power wasn’t out for long, but the generator was new and this was its first test. It worked beautifully. A few seconds of darkness and then light!
The inspiration for this piece was a chalk drawing I did in art class in the 8th (?) grade that hangs in my studio now. (Thank you, Mrs. Seebeck!)
