Description
“Line in the Sand 2” is a 2024 copy of piece #1 in my “Accidental Protest” series. I made the prototype in January of 2021, during the weekend of the Women’s March. The words running across the work were on protest signs at the march. The hand-stitched line of pink cotton thread represents my “line in the sand” about the way women are treated in the U.S. and the degradation of rights we have seen.
Cotton fabric, digitally printed and tea dyed. Cotton thread. Framed on wooden stretcher bars with wire hanger.
