It dawned on me the other day that I’ve missed posting some of the quilts that I have finished lately (and not so lately!) so I am going to try and rectify that. I finished this Master Carpenter’s Square quilt a year ago. It was my goal to finally make a quilt for my own bed in time for my 20th anniversary of quilting and I was only a few months late with it.
I based the design on an antique quilt and chose it because the quilt is for the bed in a house my husband and I had designed and custom built. The design definitely involved some master carpentry and the gentlemen at Alan B Contractors were certainly masters. No doubt making the quilt was easy by comparison, though it took me far longer to get the quilt done than it did for them to build the house!
